INT27 – MONGOLIA – EAGLE WINGS ON THE ALTAI PEAKS

Day 1 – 17/08 Arrival

• The group arrives at Ulan Bator (UB) and gathers at Ulan Bator Airport (ULN).
• Afterward, transfer to a well-equipped hotel in downtown UB to check-in.
• Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 – 18/08 Altai Tavan Bogd

• Early morning, the group travels to Chinggis Khaan Airport (ULN) to fly to Olgii. Flight departs at 07:25 AM.

• Upon arrival in Olgii, the group is transported to a Kazakh family’s home to photograph locals and traditional eagle hunters.

• After lunch, the group continues the journey to Altai Tavan Bogd National Park.

• Experience staying in traditional Kazakh ger tents at the park’s entrance. Dinner will be prepared by a private chef.

Day 3 – 19/08 Khoton Lake

• After breakfast, the group travels to Altai Tavan Bogd Mountain (approx. 1 hour drive).

• Continue hiking for 2-3 hours through the majestic mountains.

• After lunch, rest and prepare for the afternoon photo shoot.

• In the afternoon, the group heads to Khoton Lake to capture the stunning sunset at the solitary tree.

• Dinner will be prepared by a private chef.

Day 4 – 20/08 Baga Turgen Waterfall

• After an early breakfast, depart for Baga Turgen Waterfall. A short drive and then a 6 km walk (riding horses instead of walking is optional at own expense).

• In the afternoon, visit and photograph the rock paintings and Siberian sheep/goats.

• After lunch, travel to the Khoton Valley for eagle hunter photos with a stunning mountain backdrop.

• After shooting, return to the ger camp for rest.

Day 5 – 21/08 Olgii City

• In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before traveling to Olgii city.

• Visit a traditional eagle hunter family along the way and experience their lifestyle.

• Enjoy a traditional lunch with the eagle hunting family.

• Afterward, check-in to a hotel in Olgii.

• Dinner at a Kazakh restaurant.

Day 6 – 22/08 Tolbo Lake – Altantsugts Village

• Early morning, travel to Tolbo Lake to photograph eagle hunters. This beautiful lake is surrounded by majestic mountains.

• Return to Olgii and continue the journey to Altantsugts Village to meet more eagle hunters and capture portraits with the golden Altai mountain range in the background.

• Return to Olgii and rest.

Day 7 – 23/08 Ulan Bator

• Early morning, have breakfast and then fly back to Ulan Bator. Flight departs at 09:25 AM and lasts for 2 hours.
• Lunch at the airport, and the afternoon is free for shopping and exploring Chinggis Khaan Square or visiting the Chinggis Khaan Grand Statue.

Accommodation: Hotel with shower and Wi-Fi.

Day 8 – 24/08 Departure Day

• In the morning, take time to relax and prepare for your return flight.
• The photography journey through Mongolia ends with many memorable moments captured on camera.
